2017 Ford Super Duty

Will have an aluminum body
The first revealing image of the 2016 Ford F-250 Super Duty has emerged ahead of an official reveal likely scheduled for later this year.
Technical specifications are not available at this point but it has been confirmed the new F-250 Super Duty will adopt an aluminum body. In the case of the F-150, this has granted a massive weight loss of up to 700 lbs (317 kg) so expect the new F-250 Super Duty to go through an extensive diet as well. We remind you the current 2015MY tips the scales at 5,941 lbs (2,694 kg) in 4x2 guise and 6,351 lbs (2,880 kg) in 4x4 specification.
Power is expected to come from uprated versions of the V8 6.2-liter and 6.7-liter Power Stroke engines which in current configuration develop 385 bhp & 405 lb-ft and 440 bhp & 860 lb-ft, respectively.

Lots of rumors going around the past several months about the Super Duty getting a complete redesign for the 2017 model year. Keep in mind they've essentially been running on the same platform since 1998.
This is rumored to be the design. It's in line with a lot of the camo spy shots.

I find the front end to be particularly offensive. The wheels look straight off of a Chevy truck too.
Cab and bed aren't bad though. Very similar to the F-150.
I forgot the source, but I read elsewhere that there will be some FI gas engines available. Either the 3.5 Ecoboost or a rumored 5.0 TT Ecoboost. 10 speed transmission should be coming too.

What I don't get is that all they had to do was take the Atlas prototype and make some slight changes to differentiate it from the F-150.
Then some idiot decided to make the grille into that abomination. The aftermarket grille sector is going to do very well financially over the next few years.
I do think this design could be saved if:

I do think this design could be saved if:
- Fix the grille. Remove those 2 bars and make some alterations to what's left.
- Ditch the GM wheels. Seriously. Those look like they took them straight off a GMC.
- Fix the fender vents. Fender vents can look nice. These don't.
- Fix the stance. Another couple inches couldn't hurt(that's what she said).
