Have you parallel parked in it? I did shortly after we got ours and about lost my cool. But I think I could do it better now that I'm use to it. That and I can never remember which button does what on the back of the steering wheel to change the radio.

And I probably am just the buyer Chrysler is targeting. Someone who knows what they're talking about.

I doubt Chrysler has any worries about the jeep selling. It's selling the best, unless you combine the GM Lamba platforms, then they come out a little on top.

that's it just getting used to it. and with camera and parking sensors it's a lot easier than my last car that had neither.

That and I can never remember which button does what on the back of the steering wheel to change the radio.
i believe it's vol +/- (rocker) and source (button) on right, and next/previous track or seek forward/back (rocker) and next preset (button)... or something. i've enjoyed using the talk button and just saying "play artist coldplay" or "play song glass of water" etc.

i just found out the car has headlight washers - they're hidden behind flush dark little area below the headlights. the manual doesn't mention them except for a fuse.

Yeah I much prefer the handle I have vs the ****. I hate that trend towards *****.

My issue is that I dont drive it that much so I never really get used to it. My wife has no problem with it...

The headlight washers are really cool!! I would go fast down our muddy road just to get the headlights muddy and get to use the headlight washers!

My wife got in a fender bender this morning in her GC coming home from work at 3am. No airbags deployed but I'm really curious if it's totaled.

She works nights in the ICU, nurse obviously. It's a weird way out of there with a lot of intersections and some intersections are 2 way stops while most are 4 way stops. Another nurse that my wife works with was going into his shift, he's new. Explains why he hasn't figured out the intersections. He t-boned her.

Thought I'd update the thread that I kinda hijacked (sorry about that!) Insurance adjuster got back to me yesterday. It's totaled. It's looking like we will get a little more than what we paid. MSRP $57xxx paid $49xxx TTL included. We are getting $53k. Back in the market. Yay

Glad it's totalled. You wouldn't want it back after that. Getting another one?

Definitely didn't want it back. I'm not sure. She wants another one. I don't. I loved it but I really want a cheaper vehicle right now. I would lease something like the RX but she gets attached and she drives about 30k/yr so I would like to not get something as expensive with the expenses we are facing right now.

We have $24k in equity. I'd like to put zero down on the next car and cash that check.

One suggestion I have is take your wife down to the local Subaru dealership and see if she likes any of them. You can get a nice brand-new XV Crosstrek, Forester, or a (base-model) Outback for your 24K check and maybe just a few K....or almost nothing. Subies have a good reliability reputation, offer go-anywhere (on-road) capability in any weather like a Jeep, and, at least not fully-loaded, often sell in the general price range you are looking at, or just a little more.
