I guess the BOSE sound system is not standard for A7 units sold in USA? Or is it included?

Also, how much extra is Audi USA charging for the optional Bang & Olufsen sound system?

 

I thought the BOSE system was included, but I could be wrong. The B&O system is a $6,000 plus upgrade.

Well in this class and category of car, it very well should be. Nissan already includes BOSE audio as standard in the Altima 3.5 SL (export version) and Mazda already includes it on the Mazda 6 2.5L.

No reason for Audi to only give you a sub-par non-branded base audio system

 

I've heard Bose in a few different cars. Not one really impressed me. Most of the time you're just paying for the name.

 

Same here, I agree. The only Bose system that I have ever heard that did impress me was in an '08 GMC Acadia. Which was weird because I had an '09 Tahoe with Bose and it was lackluster.

 

The Bose surround sound system in my '09 Infiniti M35 was pretty good. It even had the tweeters in the headrests.

Not so much in the A7. That's because Audi wants you to pay $6k + for the B&O system.

 

Yup, it's like a trademark or Unique Selling Proposition for that vehicle

their noise cancelling headphones are good though.
