OK...then, per my last post, what's your prediction for the thread-topic...the Cadillac XTS? If you're out on one limb...might as well make it two.
I was not intentionally manipulating your post, BTW...if so, it was not intended. In the sense you were using the term, at least as I saw it, a grand slam has the same meaning as monumental. If it does not, in this case, then I'll stand corrected.
I'll tell you what......I'll also make a prediction, but not as big as yours. I'll predict it gets at least to third base...maybe a little more. The RX's popularity is so strong that even radical styling probably won't slow it down that much, but it also will be sharing, to an extent, the upper end of the NX's market.

Allright, Jill, then what's your prediction for the thread-topic...the Cadillac XT5?
The new XT5 will do well, not exactly sure where to put the sales as the segment is very competitive right now. I think it will be on par with the MKX sales, but I think Cadillac will be able to sell a $70k XT5 before Lincoln can sell $70K a MKX.

Well, when Barry Bonds broke the home run record, it was monumental, but was it a grand slam?

You mean a 60K MKX? I agree the 60K models will be more difficult to sell than the 45-50K ones. The less-expensive MKXs, though, seem to be selling......that's probably why the 60K MKX I reviewed was one of the very few left on the lot that day that was yet unsold and could be test-driven.

Actually, Car and Driver reported that their MKX was as tested at 70K. I might have to reread.
Wow, you must not being paying attention to sales.
Case in point, the NX is doing well, the Lincoln MKC with its snoozefull looks is down now that sales are entering the second calendar year, Oct was not up. The new RX will be a monumental home run.
I pay very close attention to sales. And what I said did not imply the RX does not or will not sell well. It does and we all know it does. I said I'd predict they would sell more if it had the body of this new Cadillac.
interior looks amazing. As long as the infotainment does not crap its pants like the current generation, it will be good. The wood and leather combo is great. The exterior though....what happened

What was the RX release date? October RX sales were down, year over year.
Why are you manipulating what I said? I said monumental home run, not grand slam.
As for the prediction, at least I am willing to go out on a limb and make it

I don't understand your argument here? Isn't an all time record breaking "monumental" home run a much bigger deal than your every day grand slam? There's a lot of word-smithing going back and forth here, but to what point?
