I buy Japanese's because I work REAL hard for my money, I don't plan to trade in my car every 3 years (which is the avg. time for all American's car to begin to break down) for a newer model. Moreover, I hate that trip to the dealership where the domestic car saleman treats you like you just another dumb@ss who will buy a POS car so he can get that bonus commision to go and buy a foreign car (like Lexus)
Anyway, I will and always try to buy American's, support our economy, but I must need to have a reliable rides, and until American workers can build something like Lexus, I will have to spend my hard earn cash on foreign cars! Nothing personal, it's all business (Godfather I )

1984 Nissan 200SX 5 Spd Hatchback N/A- Lovely car and will always be remembered by me as my start. Only had it three months until it got hit by a bus.
1994 Nissan Maxima GXE- Awesome car, incredibly reliable, 4.5 years of no worries.
1997 Nissan Maxima SE 5 Spd- POS I bought off EBAY, painted everywhere, rattles, started selling it after the first week. Sold it back on EBAY and got every penny back, 2.5 months later.
1998 Nissan Maxima SE 5 Spd- Incredible shape, had it for a year, put on 15K miles, sold it for $200 more than what I paid for it. Never had one flat tire, never went up on a lift, nothing. Just solid, consistent fun, Fully Loaded and modded too. Really missing it, the amount I got for it is the only thing that justifies it.
1999 Lexus GS 400- Had a few minor issues at first, but overall, I'm growing to like it. Cant mess with the status you get.
2000 S2000- Traded my friend the GS for it for a week. Real fun to drive, considered getting it, realized it was too much like a street legal Go-Kart.
1988 Caddy Fleetwood D'Elegance- Bought it off someone getting rid of it for $200, made $350 for myself on it. Ran strong, great condition for its year.
1996 Maxima SE 5 Spd- Basically every possible bolt on available, including Stillen V2 Supercharger with smaller pulley. Dynoed at 278HP to the wheels, making it 310HP+ at the crank.
Considering A6 4.2 as my next ride. Might just stick with the GS.

Happy with the Lex almost all the way around...
Had a 300zxTT before (one that i actually drove for a long time, other cars i only had for a couple months at a time)
was very unreliable, always breaking something, tho it was quite fast when it ran correctly... still pulled harder than my car does now; tho not by much; i'm slowly getting to that point with tuning, etc
Thing I liked about my Z over the Lex was the handling aspect... Z was much more taut and flat and could take turns at a higher speed
tho the Lex has more of a pimp factor, more sleeper factor, and more passenger room (not to mention the reliability)

What car did you have before !
We got a green 2003 Honda Pilot EX-L with DVD the first week they came out. My wife loved it and had no desire to ever get rid of it. For the hell of it, we went to look at the new RX and she fell in love again! I wanted her to get exactly what she wanted and she got it a few days later. We only miss the 3rd row of seats in the Pilot but we only used them because we had them. The Pilot also had its rattles but overall, it was a great family hauler.

1983 Suzuki GS650G (motorcycle)
1993 Suzuki GS500E (MC)
1985 Mazda RX-7 (totalled by a drunk , uninsured Mexican laboror)
1991 Suzuki Katana 750 (bought with the proceeds from my RX-7 uninsured motorist payment)
1995 Acura Integra (base model)
1991 Saab 9000 (had it 3 months, made $700 on the sale - had a bad feeling it was going to have problems)
2002 Honda CBR600 F4i (current)
1997 Toyota Camry (V6, 5-speed and still really boring)
1995 Lexus SC300 (I'm happy)
Looking at an old 911 for fun at the moment but probably won't get one until next summer.

In order lol :
05 honda S2000
07 Civic SI
Bought the S2K in the summer and when fall came around realized I couldn't fit hockey equipment in it...so I picked up my IS350 andmy only complaint is that I should have manned up and bought an ISF!

I was rolling an 03 G35 sedan. She was a good car but had the teething issues of a first year model mixed with standard issue. I had 6 CD players in the car, brakes wore out every 12k miles ( there was a class action law suit against Nissan Infiniti North America because they wore out so fast), rattles, bad bushings, and the car always pulled to the right
