Just bought a 1993 SC400 with automatic transmission, pretty beat up, (door panels off and falling apart, trunk compartment falling apart and doesn't stay up on it's own, rear bumper cracked, front bumper is crooked, passenger side door handle isn't connected to door opening mechanism, speedo, gas gauge, & tach doesn't work, and cable that pulls up window on driver side needs to be reattached.) I'm not sure what other models and years have compatible parts, got the car for $2350, just hope to have fun with it. Has 137,000 miles, seems mechanically sound, could use a tune up and I'll replace the starter as well as the hoses. If anyone could help with any of the problems I listed above or point me in the direction of some threads that could help me out it would be greatly appreciated! I'm going to try to refurbish the door panels as well as the rest of the interior on my own and plan on making a project thread about it. Thanks for reading, happy to have found the forum!

Welcome, we're in the same boat as I just picked up a 95 Sc last week. Atleast you got the bigger motor as I am down I got the V6 and it's not even easier to work with(my mechanic couldn't even pull a spark plug to "check" it, said he had to take off too much sht). these cars just need to be driven! Mine said it was in excellent but I still found a trunk strut(doesn't affect functionality- hold up with one arm), antennae mast(doesn't affect functionality- works manually tho) and just the outside glass on moonroof has a thin crack(doesn't affect functionallity; happened while prev owner was on her way to sell car to GMC dealer where I found her). I plan to scour the yards to get all these items so I Can get it back to stock form. These cars are best enjoyed when they're as close to stock form due to "the relentless pursuit of perfection" and vintage late year MY and everyone DESERVES a properly working vehicle so get your car fixed up!
GL getting it FIXED UP ASAP and keep us updated every step of the way!
