Default S Class 65 long,Bentley Mulsanne、Rolls Royce (Phantom,Ghost,Wraith)

OK, unfortunately I am not going to be getting another Lexus LS, instead I am looking for a new family car in the cars in the title in the next 6 months or so. I have yet to visit any of the dealerships as they are pretty far away from where I live. I understand that there may not be a lot of people here that have owned these cars, but I would still like to get peoples opinions.

I will be the main person driving the car, it won't be a chauffeured setup, so I am looking for a drivers car. I also understand that it will come down to personal preference, but I still want to hear about options etc that I may miss when testing the cars (I also am not sure I will be able to get a test drive of each car due to their price. So it may have to be a blind buy)

Here in Japan the S Class 65 long, Bentley Mulsanne、Rolls Royce Ghost, & Wraith are very similar in price and is why I included the S Class AMG in the choices. The Rolls Royce Ghost is the only car that is considerably more in price at about another $100K or so.

So any advise is most certainly welcome.

Can't afford any of them personally but I did get to drive a Wraith , it feels heavy at times cornering but it's pure luxury and has plenty of power for overtaking, I would personally choose the Wrait over the others if it's going to be a daily driver

I would definitely take the Ghost out of the equation (because imho, it's not so much as a driver's car.......compared to the Wraith).

By the way, you mentioned S65 AMG LWB. Damn that's epic.
Still with that said though, since you're not strict on the number of doors your car would have, would you be willing to wait until the S65 AMG COUPE launches and arrives?

Anyways, any car in that list of yours is epic and you can't go wrong with either

All are bad-*** and epic

P.S.
By the way

Would you consider including a Jaguar XJ into your vehicle list as well? (especially the Supersports version or the R version)

Wraith for style and prestige, but I imagine the S-Class would be more rewarding to drive and maybe more techy

edit, nice XJ option Blackraven . XJR is out!

Dave you will get better responses at www.luxury4play.com .. Really awesome place and I'm sure they can give good feedback. They even added a Lexus forum recently.

I think the most driver-oriented would be the S65

The Ghost is essentially a 7 series with some improved sheet metal, im sure its a very nice car but my money would go else where. For me it would be between the Mulsanne and S.

Keep in mind Mercedes is working on a even longer S class called the Pullman.

Have you considered a Tesla?

I don't like the XJ, although I am sure it is a nice car.

Not a fan of the 7 series. Did not know that about the Mercedes, my wife will like that, she hates cramped cars. She would not even get into the IS-F.

I have considered the Tesla, but from what I can gather it may too small for what I am looking for.

Well, I have looked at most of the cars on the list and the S Class 65 long seems to be the car for me right now. Just have to sort a few things out IRS here in Japan and I should have it on order very soon. I plan to keep the LS for a work car, so I am not totally going away from Lexus.

If you're looking for utmost comfort, the RR will do.

But if you want something more spirited as a driver, the S 65.

XCAR did a recent review of the Wraith:

seems like you have pretty much set your mind

but yes if you are more about having a drivers car since you are driving it, the phantom and mulsanne are out imho

the ghost and wraith are nice but driving excitement wise i think the s65 is probably better for you

Have you considered a Panamera Turbo S Executive?

I was not able to drive the S65 (they are all order only) , but from previous V12 offerings of the AMG I am pretty sure I just will love the sound more than anything out of all these cars. And after quite a bit of discussion with the AMG dealer here I tend to believe that this car IS the best drivers car.
