Thanks, I never looked at it from that perspective. I think Lincoln should just make the 2.7 the only option.
Not everyone wants, or needs, a turbo engine. I found the MKX's N/A 3.7L just fine for everyday driving. It is also less-complex, fewer parts to wear out, the engine itself produces less heat without a turbo, and often can use less-expensive oil.

It seems a little pointless to have both. They both get 19MPG combined for fuel economy.
In the F150 pick-up, the 3.5 Ecoboost V-6 costs more than the 5 liter V-8. The Cadillac 2.0 turbo costs $2000 more than the base 2.5 which is about the same difference between the base V-6 and the 2.7 Ecoboost at Lincoln. More power = more $. Turbos are the modern replacement for displacement. Even at Mercedes, the AMG C63 is no longer 6.3 liters, but a 5.5 turbo.
