Now their actually new cars are excellent and fluid... like S class and C class (fully optioned), but E class is definetly not fluid...
ummm aaahh not sure if your side of town has some knock off MB rolling around.

How does this front and rear look like 2 different cars?

Thats not the actual front end of the refreshed E Class, thats a rendering. I wish it were...but its not.

This is unfortunately what the front of the refreshed E Class looks like:

I agree that the new front end does not match the lines of the rest of the car, I think it looked better before the refresh.

I much prefer that grille, but all of the ones I've seen with that grille are base models, and the base headlights and trim look VERY cheap. Even with that grille, the rounded styling of the front just doesn't translate into the angular rest of the car IMHO.

I love what MB has done with the S and C Class, with the E its like they've tried to meld that front with their old design language...I'm sure the all new E will be great, just judging from the C...

They did try to meld it together. The head designer of MB cars got fired. New guy is very talented and grafted his new design onto the angular designs of his predecessor. It doesn't bother me in person for whatever reason...I think the E63 AMG looks fantastic. The E-class coupe/cab looks amazing to me in pics and in real life...for some reason it took to the facelift much better.

The convertible looks great. The sedan refresh is hideous IMHO. I wouldn't even test drive one.

That E-class uses a completely different body language compared to new MBs, so which do you like, the old or the new?

yeah that's foul. and off topic.

anyway, back to lexus...

with the is, es, gs pretty new right now, the addition of the new nx and rc, if the next gen rx and gx are hits then lexus could really get on a big roll and be more of a leader again.

about the rx to me, the new highlander is way better, so i expect the new rx to be incredible.

"The German Three have a brand image that they have cultivated over the past century in their long history, but Lexus is not in people's minds like that yet," said Fukuichi, who is also Toyota's Senior Managing Officer, referring to Audi, BMW and Mercedes-Benz .

"Customers would leave us if we have any problems with quality because that is what they are seeking in a Lexus," he told Reuters.

Ahh....you miss my friend. Like the Lexus F-sport GS-350, this is their Sport grill front. It comes with an annoyingly large Tristar in the Grill. The other is the Luxury (non-sport) with the Tristar emblem on the hood.

For the ones who do not like the interior, I love simplicity over complexity

Chikoo - those pics show the same - very round/japanese even design in the front, and straight back... your first pic was rendering, not real car. I see plenty of them around.

overall with amg package, i think it looks good, but it is as far as possible from clean... that goes from interior - it is as far away from simplicity as possible - i counted 47 buttons on HVAC.

And each button has a specific function. Direct access. that is simplicity. No need to drill through a multi level menu.
