Why I'm Never Buying a Lexus Again!
I beat the **** out of a 07 rx 350 for a couple years and the only issue I ever had with it was some supposed vvti oil lines leaked and each time we brought it in it was covered under warranty.
Op probably cant even change his own oil.

And, with that, I'm off to bed. It's past midnight here on the East Coast, and I'm tired. So long,

It only happen to model year 07-11. I am lucky to have bought my wife a newer Rx.
My 02 camry never did have any issue, and there was this one time that i had the oil on as much as 18,000 miles....blame me....and nothing ever happened.....regardless of cold and hot weather in ohio. I even drove it to Atlanta....had oil changed there, and the guy was like....what did you do to your oil ?.....8 years later, still running, 140k miles, sold it, and the mechanic said she would live to carry people for at least another 200k miles.
My 06 camry ? Never even had any issue at all, 110k miles.....hit a deer at 35mph on impact moment, broke a bumper, cracked the light housing, still run like a champ. My daily beater to go to work.
Anyways, there are two issues. If your car is out of warranty, older than 5 years...10 years, you cant expect them to perform free works....un-realistic
Even if it is under warranty, the diagnosis had to be performed by certified Lexus mechanics, and even the works.
Last time i check, Lexus road side assistance is all year round 24 hours a day.
Lastly, would take Lexus over anything else, even an Acura and Infiniti. Reason why my wife RX.
Good luck with your other choice, and i am sure you will come running back to Toyota or Lexus again.

Found this amazing video from the Orginal Poster: Although I really don't want to give it hits/views. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MmjtTIOOboM
I believe the hose you're referring to is RUBBER, not plastic.
And, if your wife kept driving because she ignored warning lights on the dash or obvious signs of trouble, that's on you, bro, not Lexus.
