why do they always screw up the 1 series on looks? I mean they did great with the 2

When Chris Harris did a similar comparo (M135i RWD versus the previous-gen S3), the BMW won...

Anyways, I still have yet to see the video. I wonder if things have changed now or if it still remains the same....

S3 is a turbo 4 with AWD just like the STI albeit with a bit more luxury. It's not too black and white

 

New S3 has me drooling. Trying to resist temptation...

Thats where it ends. One is purpose driven sports the other is luxury car with decent performance credentials.

You don't cross shop corvettes and amg's I doubt you will with this..

 

Actually the S3 is a Sport Luxury or Luxury Sport which ever you prefer car, not a Luxury car. It has luxury features and a luxury badge, but don't expect to find A8 cabin materials - though actual A3/S3 materials will be minutely better than the WRX, still full of cheap plastics.

I wouldn't use that analogy, a ZR1 could easily be compared to a SLS Black Series. Better would have been to say you don't cross shop a Veloster with a FF
