it looks cool but doing away with central screen is simply bad choice... sure, it will cut them some costs and stil look good, but overall it is poorer solution that what competition has.
they should have done some nice HUD and left central screen... looking between your steering wheel all the time is not really optimal.
and your passenger wont be able to do anything. i guess it looks cool and thats most important here.
I will admit, I am still a huge fan of traditional analog gauges. Some LCD displays like the XJ or XTS look a bit cheap to me - perhaps needs better resolution
2015 Audi TT Coupe Rendered with Details from Allroad Shooting Brake Concept
The first thing we noticed about Audi's new 2014 Detroit motor show-bound Allroad Shooting Brake Concept upon seeing the press shots was how close the exterior and interior are to the upcoming, third generation TT.
Even though Audi didn't say it outright, the Germans did mention that the two-door crossover provides a “concrete look into the near future”.
We saw the production cabin of the next TT at the CES in Las Vegas last week and while we patiently wait for Audi to fully release the car at a major international auto show this year, Hungarian designer X-Tomi cooked up a quick render of what the coupe may look like, based on the knowledge we obtained from the Detroit concept.
Check it out below along with the official photo of the interior.
Audi has confirmed that the 2015 TT will make its official debut at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show in March.
At the 2014 Detroit Auto Show, Audi technical boss Ulrich Hackenberg also noted that the new TT coupe’s styling is previewed by the Allroad Shooting Brake concept the German automaker just revealed. As a result, the TT lineup has the potential to expand with a crossover model in the future.
In other words, don’t be surprised if a more rugged TT model shows up in the near future, invading other segments in the marketplace. “There is a trend for crossovers, shooting brakes and Allroad models, and we combined the TT with these concepts,” Hackenberg said.
TT has always been a fun little coupe/roadster, but interest in it seems to have fallen off as of late. Wonder if a new one will spark a new love for it. I seldom every see them anymore
similar to the current BMW Z4 interior. I currently own an Audi TT, I'll never go near another one, VW quality through and through! Very happy with my Cayman that took its place though.
I like the TT aesthetically but don't think I would every buy one. For the price of a TTS I would rather pony up a few grand more and get a Cayman - albeit it would not be a very well equipped Cayman...

Even if it was a basic Cayman, I can't deny those lines vs the TT which has seemed feminine in most every generation to me.
Scheduled to make its official debut at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show, these sketches of the 2015 Audi TT might be the best look we’ll have until then.
The official drawings reveal the TT’s sleek headlight design and more angular style while a single-frame grille and redesigned air ducts are just some of the styling elements heading the sports car’s way. Audi hopes to position its next-generation TT further up the model lineup, and to carry some more of a family resemblance to the R8 exotic. One small sing of that change is moving the four-ring emblem to the hood rather than the grille. Familiar to the TT’s design are the prominent fenders, a heavily curved roofline and liftback-style tailgate.
The new TT coupe will incorporate elements of Volkswagen’s MQB platform and is rumored to continue using a unique floorpan manufactured from high-strength steel and aluminum. The body of the TT will likely feature a mixture of steel and aluminum as well, considering Audi hopes to make its third-generation TT lighter than 2,775 lbs.
Check back for more official details and specifications on the 2015 Audi TT when it bows at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show.
The Audi TT design icon shows up in its third generation as a thoroughbred sports car. The designers have reinterpreted many ideas of the first TT of 1998.. Particularly striking in the new compact sports are sharpened, horizontal lines that were worked out dynamically and accurately.
I hope the above pic is not it. That is almost identical to what we have now. Someone commented they think it's just an artists rendering of what he would like to see. Hope that's all.
