Post Hyundai

Hyundai Motor America today announced sales for the month of December of 63,005 units, up 6 percent versus the same period in 2013, representing the best December in company history and the 1st December to break the 60,000 mark. Post Kia

Kia Motors America (KMA) today reported the company’s second-best annual sales in 2013 of 535,179 vehicles following the delivery of seven all-new or significantly redesigned vehicles over the course of the year. For the second straight year the U.S.-built* Optima was KMA’s best-seller and December’s total of 33,631 units helped the midsize sedan set an all-time single nameplate annual sales record for the brand at 155,893 vehicles. Since debuting in 2009, sales of the funky Soul urban passenger vehicle have increased each year and that trend continued with Kia’s iconic people mover surpassing the 118,000 unit mark following the arrival of the all-new, 2nd generation vehicle in the 4th quarter.

With 2014 marking Kia’s 20th anniversary in the U.S. market, the company’s aggressive new vehicle launch cadence will continue with the scheduled Spring arrival of the all-new 2015 K9001 rear-wheel-drive flagship sedan, which was unveiled at the Los Angeles Auto Show. A long-awaited all-new minivan and the company’s 1st-ever electric vehicle also are scheduled to launch in 2014.

Wow MB is just killing it, wat a way to finish the year.

Eclass sales are beyond belief at this point, more than Cclass now even.

Good to see Lexus finish strong.
- GS over 2,000 finally lol
- IS is doing good
- cant wait for the RC
- CT is doing ok...if it had a regular gas engine and an AWD option it would sell double imo.

well i am sure both IS and GS, as well as CT (and LS), would do better if they had cheaper/smaller engine options as base, as well as less equipment :-)

might be what they need to chase $33k 320i

2013 Year to Date Totals:

Mercedes 312,534
BMW 309,280
Lexus 273,847

Lexus definitely has it's mojo back. Back in 2007 which was Lexus all time best sales year of 329,177. 2013 is Lexus fifth highest sales year. For 2014 Lexus should be able to hit at least 300K in sales with the introduction of the NX and RC...
