Long story short. someone went into the locker room while my girlfriend was at work and stole her car. my friend just told us that the lexus is250 comes witha built in tracking inside the car and told us to try to contact the lexus dealership.
we did not purchase lojack with the car and they have her fob keys wallet and purse. we contacted the police and some news stations to try to get help.
WE REALLY NEED HELPP!!!!! we blew around 20k on the car and now its gone. its so unreal
Man, those were some brazen thieves! I'm sorry to hear that you and your girl were on the receiving end of a deally horrible event. Please tell me that you had it fully insured? It won't bring back your current car, but it will put you into a rental until your insurance settles the theft claim. Best of luck man. Really rough way to end the year.
sucks to hear that. Did she ask any of her coworkers? I mean if she was at work and somebody went into the employee locker room I would suspect some of the employees. any camera in that parking lot?
I assume you reported it to insurance. Did the news stations take the story? If your GF works at OfficeMax, aren't there security cameras in the store/parking lot, etc?
That's terrible, as much as I joked that I wanted it to happen to my car.
This is one reason why my keys never, ever, leave my person.
Hopefully the camera turns up some details about the person who took it. The thefts I usually read about are Ford trucks closer to the southern border, usually found burnt to a crisp or stripped of anything useful after being used to smuggle illegals. I don't know if Lexuses end up stripped or just driven around by the thief.
Yeah i notified the police and all social media that i have. there has been 30 shares of the ad. i also posted it all over craigs list... if i have camera footage of the thief would i beable to do anything?
We had a car stolen one time. Fortunately we got it back and insurance covered all the damages. Personally, I wouldn't worry about the car itself. Cars come and go. What I would worry about is the fact they have her purse with all her information. I would concentrate on protecting her credit, identity, and change the locks on her doors because they have her address and keys and any other credit card and personal identification.
That is what insurance is for. That is if the OP has it.
Other than that, your best hope is that your iphone was in your locked dash, and you can track it.
I actually ended up tracking my lost stuff via the iphone. Bunch of high school thieves took my bag away which had my iphone in it. Too bad they did not know that. I just showed up at their hangout and grabbed by stuff and walked away. The bunch of morons were shocked and in disbelief.
