I think the RC platform is more likely. They both have almost the same length and wheelbase.

Hoovey2411 is saying new drivetrains are in the works.

Wait....a minute.

So RC is what ..50k ? V6 ?

RC-F is....75k ? V8 ? 450 HP ?

Then this can not be right.

Because the Supra on RC platform TT cheaper and perform as much as RC-F is a NO---NO. It will be eating the RC-F for sure.

Not many people is willing to pay Extra for adds on Luxurious Features, Specially on a Sport Car. Because Enthusiast believe in Weight....the more Junks = The more Weight ....

Also...if they make TT Supra @ 380 HP for 55-60 k = People still gonna eat it up rather than the RC-F....what are we looking at ?

RC350 starts at $45k, and the RC-F is at $71k.

If Supra ever gets to production, it will certainly be tiered model with several choices... 2.0t as a base and something else as top end version. Maybe 350hp twin turbo version? (2.0t) for 60k?

plus it will be different from RC... less luxurious and true 2+2 where back seats are not usable at all.

If so...I dont know what Toyota want to do with the Supra. Obviously as less Luxury features, the Supra will be lighter, together with the Legendary performance from history, Toyota reliability, Reputation, name. People is still gonna ****** the Supra up.

If they do

Supra for 35k...because Usually Toyota is 10k cheaper than Lexus....and Supra TT for 61k....then the NA Supra will Cannibalize FR-S. TT will Cannibalize RC-F.

I have no idea what they have plan. I just know Mr. Kevin Hunter said anywhere from $50k-$60k. Now comes the hard part. The 2-3 year wait :/

Well 2-3 years will be short. Becaus if they release it that fast, we have news every year..dont we ? Beside, if you save 10k a year....at least 50% down for the TT

I am poor as heck now, and craving for a sport...

this is not how this industry works... you have Highlander and Rav4, you have Corolla and Camry...

if it went the way you are thinking Toyota would have 10 cars total, not 100.

Kinda remind me of FR-S Concept except that FT-1 has a lot more personality.

Highlander is 3 rows and rav4 is 2 right ? There are differences. Camry is stronger and more powerful, also is bigger and of higher quality right ? There are differences.

Say the FRS is already fun, but cheap, and weak. That is why i dont have one. The new NA supra will eat up the FRS as 6k more, or 3k more than a BRZ. Have you seen many 86 owners complain or are waiting for a stronger version ? Me included. But if Na Supra is released,mi wont even think about the 86 anymore.

The only one thing though, i may or may not be able to fork out for TT version, but i am sure to try with everything.

Considering i have DD, and Family hauler. I may fall in the 20% but that still mean it will affect some what. It is undeniably true.

FRS is 25k
tC is $20k

Camry vs Corolla is same as tC vs FR-S... even smaller price difference actually.

You need to think a bit.

I have to agreed with Whitigir on this. Niche cars will not have high sales, so there needs to be a good price gap.

This is one of the reasons why we did not get the 94-99 Celica GT-4. If offered it would have surely taken sales from the NA MK4 Supra.

The 2015 facelift FR-S is aso said to get a power boost to 250hp. I'm sure that will also come with a price increase.

Tada-san has also said the 2nd gen FR-S will be a different animal. And I'm thinking the sub 86 car will kinda take off where the FR-S started.

I think Toyota will just offer one version of the new Supra. Either with an I6 TT or a V6 TT making 450hp+ and pricing at $55k (That is in between Mr. Kevin Hunter's range).

Also in an interview Tada-san has said he did not want the new "Supra"/Toyota flagship sports to step on the toes of the 86/FR-S.
