I came across a US company that modifies GT-Rs and one of their versions turns it into a monster of a Godzilla with over 1500+ hp The 0-100 kph is like under 2 seconds. The thing eats everything in its path. I for one would love to experience something that crazy. Actually crazy doesn't justify those numbers, I should have really said: INSANE!

Default MT Says 2015 Nissan GT-R Nismo is the Best GT-R Ever

The 592hp 2015 Nissan GT-R Nismo needs no introduction: it’s the fastest, most hardcore production GT-R ever made.

But it’s not just the added power and torque that differentiate it from a regular GT-R. The GT-R Nismo is more focused in every way, sporting sharper steering, beefier brakes, enhanced aerodynamics, upgraded suspension, body reinforcements and much more.

Thanks to these enhancements, the GT-R Nismo is the world’s fastest volume production car around the Nürburgring, with a time of 7:08.679. As deliveries of the car have recently begun in the United States, this review featured in Ignition’s latest episode is a good way to refresh your memory about the GT-R Nismo.

Carlos Lago and Randy Pobst drove the car both on the track and on the road and shared their positive impressions in the video review posted below.

Default Nissan GT-R Gets 45th Anniversary Edition in Japan [w/Video]

After the United States and Europe, the new Nissan GT-R has finally gone on sale in Japan as well, with the automaker also launching a limited edition model exclusively for its home market.

Based on the 2015 Nissan GT-R, the “45th Anniversary” model features a special paint color, “Silica Brass,” which is exactly the same trademark color as the Skyline GT-R M-Spec (R34 Type), released in 2001.

Available only in the Premium Edition trim level, the Limited-Edition 45th Anniversary GT-R also features an exclusive emblem on the lower part of the interior center cluster and an exclusive model plate number in the engine compartment.

Nissan will only build 45 units of this special GT-R and will start taking orders in early January on a first-come, first-serve basis. The Nissan GT-R 45th Anniversary is priced from 10,787,040 yen ($91,480).

No mechanical modifications have been announced, with the limited edition model featuring the same 3.8-liter twin-turbo V6 engine mated to a six-speed dual-clutch transmission with paddle shifters. In US-spec, the unit produces 545 hp and 463 lb-ft (627 Nm) of torque.

Default Watch The Utterly Heroic R35 Nissan GT-R Drift Car Attack The Hakone Hillclimb!

There is nothing more quintessential to Japanese tuner car culture than the touge run. In Motorhead magazine's latest video feature, Takada and his crew sent an invitation to an eclectic range of racing teams to gather at the amazing Mazda Turnpike of Japan's Hakone Mountain for a special hillclimb event.

The Mazda Turnpike officially begins at a tiny toll booth at the base of the mountain and will wind all way up 8 kilometers before reaching the mountain's peak. First to come face to face with Hakone is the special Team Studie SuperGT-spec BMW Z4. In the name of science and progress, Team Studie BMW racing driver Ara Seiji also pilots a rare yellow Mk 2 Ford GT40 to give some context on how much racing technology has improved over the years.

Next up, professional D1 GP driver Kawabata Masato muscles his Toyo Tires R35 Nissan GT-R drift car up the mountain pass. According to Masato, his GT-R approaches the terrifyingly high Hakone bridge at full throttle on fifth gear. No doubt, Masato's maximum attack drift run is some next level stuff. Your move, Mr. Ken Block!

A tuned HKS GT600 Nissan GT-R driven by veteran Super GT and D1 Grand Prix star *** Taniguchi is next to attack the mountain. Then, the legendary Subaru STI Nurburgring 24-Hour team manager Hideharu Tatsumi tackled the Hakone mountain pass next. Finally, Japanese rally driver Toshihiro Arai brings a complete Spec C rally Subaru Impreza WRX STI hatch to challenge the high-speed touge.

The 7-minute video by Motorhead magazine, sponsored by Recaro, highlights all the epic Mazda Parkway touge runs in stunning 1080p HD quality. Remember to return your jaw in the closed position when the amazing video is all over!

The Tokyo Auto Salon is well known for its wild and crazy creations, but this Nissan GT-R might top it all.

For years, KUHL Racing has been synonymous with crazy paint jobs sporting a unique metallic-like finish which is done by Artis and is called “3D Ultimate Engraving Metal Paint.” So when the finish finds its way onto a Nissan GT-R, it’s no surprise that the company didn’t stop there but instead went well over-the-top to create a machine like no other. On the interior is an Aero Monster body kit by Love Lark that was designed and created by KUHL Racing itself. To accompany the widebody are Work Wheels on all four corners while performance has been boosted with a plethora of goodies from Blitz.

Perhaps what’s even crazier than the project car itself is the fact that KUHL Racing will manufacture the wild body kit and offering it to consumers worldwide. Naturally it doesn’t look as extreme without the fancy-named paint job and don’t be surprised if a few GT-Rs in the U.S. start showing up with the same styling as this car in the near future.

Default Nissan GT-R NISMO N Attack Package Graces Tokyo Auto Salon

Click here to view more photos

Nissan is showcasing the most track focused version of the much respected and often idolized GT-R at the 2015 Tokyo Auto Salon.

After setting a Nüburgring lap record, the Japanese automaker now offers an N Attack Package for the GT-R NISMO. The package outfits the sports car with the dedicated parts that were specifically developed to optimize aerodynamics and performance, recreating the same vehicle that took the Nürburgring by storm. In order to meet the needs of its customers, Nissan offers two different packages, the N Attack Package A kit and the N Attack Package B kit. Package A comes with everything to achieve the same performance as the time attack car (minus the driver) while Package B is more friendly for daily driving.

Both kits come complete with suspension modifications including new shocks, springs and stabilizer bars while new front brake pads give the GT-R NISMO more stopping power. Also included in both packages are aerodynamic improvements with new carbon fiber front fenders, front add-on spoiler and carbon fiber rear wing. Differences between the two packages comes with the interior and engine changes, with the Package A kit equipping the GT-R NISMO with carbon intercooler piping, a new ECM and TCM and a dedicated front and rear limited-slip differential. It’s worth noting that the Package B kit also includes the new ECM and TCM.

The biggest difference between the two packages comes on the inside, where Package A removes the rear seat and adds a carbon rear bulkhead. In front, the factory seats are replaced with Recaro bucket race seats with a carbon shell. Available options for both packages include a carbon fiber hood gurney and a six-point harness from Willans.

Default NISMO GT-R GT3 Race Car Updated for 2015

Click here to view more photos

There’s no better place than the Tokyo Auto Salon for Nissan to show off just how venerable the GT-R is.

Taking center stage the Japanese automaker’s booth at the 2015 Tokyo Auto Salon is its championship winning Motul Autech GT-R NISMO GT500 which conquered the 2014 Super GT Series. In addition, the company is showing off its 2015-spec NISMO GT-R GT3 that is not only lighter, but more aerodynamic, fuel efficient and has a better weight balance than last year’s race car.

The NISMO GT-R GT3 will get an early start to the 2015 race season when it competes at this weekend’s Dubai 24 Hours race. Piloting the GT-R NISMO GT3 in Dubai will be four GT Academy winners: Ricardo Sanchez, Nicholas Hamman, Gaetan Paletou, and Ahmed bin Khanen. Unfortunately, the race car competing this weekend will be a 2014-spec car so it’ll be a bit until we see the new 2015-spec in action. For now, enjoy the photos of how the GT-R looks in race trim below.

There is a modified 2009 GTR for sale in Montreal. Full carbon fiber body (reduced the weight by about 500 pounds) and the engine been tuned to 650 hp. About 33000 km on the odo. Asking price is under C$100k. So if someone in the US wants a unique GTR, here is one.

Pretty impressive.

On this episode of Head 2 Head presented by Tire Rack, it's a clash between the two most capable cars from the USA and Japan: the Chevrolet Corvette Z06 and the Nissan GT-R Nismo. Both of these juggernauts pack massive horsepower, from 600 to 650 hp, and incredible racetrack capabilities with wide and sticky tires, but which one is the top performer? Through Motor Trend's standard gamut of tests, a drive on the road, and a day at the racetrack with Randy Pobst, we find out.
GT-R wins.
