Hehe

By the way, are you using the 2009 Spec V version or the MY 2012 GT-R?

I love what they have created here and like I have said before .....the Nissan GTR has had more tweaks in one generation than most cars will get in 2-3 generations

Default World’s new fastest Nissan GT-R does quarter mile in just 7.81 seconds [video]

1/8 mile in 5.145 seconds

The battle for the world’s quickest and most powerful Nissan GT-R title now has its new leader. We are talking about the amazing Extreme Turbo Systems GT-R that is running the quarter mile in 7.81 seconds at 183 mph (294.5 km/h).

The jaw-dropping car is equipped mostly with EXS parts but there are still no specific power figures. Next weekend the GT-R will visit the Airstrip Attack 5 track event for some half mile runs.

The previous fastest GT-R was the AMS Alpha Omega Nissan GT-R which needs 7.984 seconds to perform the quarter mile sprint with even higher speed on the finish line - 186 mph (299.33 km/h).

Your turn now, AMS Performance...

I liked how his blood type was written on his racing suit.

The new £125,000, 591bhp Nissan GT-R Nismo possesses the kind of performance that can fry your mind. Steve Sutcliffe drives it on road and race track to determine whether this extra-special Godzilla is worth the additional cash.
Great review.

Default Nissan GT-R Hits 237 MPH During Sun Valley Road Rally: Video

The Sun Valley Road Rally is quickly making a strong case to become our new favorite high-speed motoring event. This Idaho-based contest of speed sees a section Highway 75 closed to the public so that folks can drive their machines at extremely high speeds. We told you about a Bugatti Veyron that managed to hit 246 miles per hour. Now comes video of a tuned Nissan GT-R running at just over 237 miles per hour.

The Goliath GT-R produces 1,700 horsepower, and, in race trim, utilizes a bit of tape to close up some seams on the front of the car. The result was this 237.1 mile per hour top speed pass during the event. That's not as quick as the Bugatti, of course, but the dollar-to-top speed ratio is a bit more in favor of the GT-R.

As more videos make their way to YouTube, we find ourselves looking forward to the 2015 running of the event. What's the quickest route to Ketchum, Idaho for next years running?

Default Mike Newman in Nissan GT-R tuned by Litchfield breaks blind driver world speed record

Averaged 200.9 mph

Mike Newman has managed to take down the world speed record for a blind driver once again.

Last year in October, 52-year-old business manager Mike Newman from Manchester hit 186 mph (300 km/h) in a Porsche 911 at Bruntingthorpe Proving Ground in Leicestershire. Now, he managed to improve his own record by going pass the 200 mph, averaging 200.9 mph (323.2 km/h) in back-to-back runs on the 1.8-mile runway at Elvington airfield.

This time, the vehicle of choice was a Nissan GT-R "highly tuned" by Litchfield and equipped with carbon panels, bespoke 1,200 bhp engine and gearbox internals as well as a motorsport-spec roll cage. Mike was all alone in the vehicle and received audio guidance from his stepfather via radio. Despite high winds and the occasional rain, he completed four runs in two opposite directions with an average speed of 200.9 mph.

It should be mentioned Litchfield built two GT-Rs specifically for this event, one to be driven by Mike while the other was a radio chase car which obviously had to be just as fast.

Nissan Connect NISMO Plus, a new connected service for GT-R NISMO owners, bridges virtual track driving data to be visualized in virtual world -- on GranTurismo 6 and smart phones. (Graphics and cars appear in the demo screen shots are still under development.)

The world's quickest GT-R of ETS/English Racing raises the bar once again. At the 2014 Buschur Shootout, With Lucas English at the wheel, it ran a quickest pass of 7.806 @182 MPH, beating its own previous record of 7.818 @183.15 MPH.
