The Focus has a lot of faults, but I can admit I do find some of them to be quite fun behind the wheel. Never felt that for any Mazda 3 I've driven. Maybe the new one will actually live up to the hype.

Saw a lower level 2014 3 few days ago and it was very nice looking.. but then yesterday I saw a white sedan in top GT trim level. Looks much better with the spoiler, bigger wheels, and LED DRL's. Much more upscale and has a lot of road presence in top trim.

And for that it should be proud to grace the owners manual of automotive history

Around here, Mazda has earned the reputation for being quite the rustbuckets. Let's hope they solved their issues.

I think that can be said of most vehicles in the northern regions. I have several friends with MDX's up there that are "rust buckets"

Looking at CR's used car Predicted Reliability going back to the '07 model year there don't appear to be any issues that would be effected by rust. Maybe if they had a problem in the past, it's been resolved.
