Probably because the show, or at least the first few eps, were taped many months ago before the spindled GX was revealed. Just my guess.
Now that I heard they ordered a full 22-episode season maybe Lexus will donate an updated GX for the newly filmed episodes.

So weird to see a GX that's been S.H.I.E.L.D.'d out... had gotten so used to those MDX's after all the movies...
I was hoping to see the 2014 GX! But that one works as well!
Good to see Lexus doing some product placement, looks great!
