looks great to me -- only thing that's lame is the exhaust....or lack of!

Something about this redesign just doesn't look very "new" to me? Not bad looking, just not particularly refreshing or updated looking.

Yeah it doesn't move the styling needle, that's for sure.

Does anyone find it weird the dual clutch transmission has a torque converter?

I thought the concept looked better. The production version is just ok.

they're being conservative since the last-gen TL looked like shti.

It's a safe, yet solid redesign in and out. The most impressive part at least to me is that they're offering a 9 speed transmission after years of people bashing them for only offering a 6 speed while everyone else was offering 7s and 8s. Love the fact that they're also offering a base 4 cylinder as well, which really helps merge the gap between the previous TSX into the TL and will only help broaden this model's appeal. I predict the TLX will sell extremely well and the RLX and ILX will struggle even more once this goes on sale.

Acura's designs are bland. The Japanese version of Chrysler.

They've dropped the ball the past several years aesthetically.

Proper long awaited successor to '04 TL. Better late than never.

Interior is still behind times for a premium brand as they consider themselves to be but this time its actually appealing unlike in MDX and RDX.

A big meh at best, not exciting, predictable and I don't know why but the Camry seems more interesting. What I do like
-new trannys
-MPG is very very good
-base model is 150 lbs lighter

Press photos are just that. I think wheels and a drop will help significantly. Shame no rear exhaust, not a fan of that trend.

I like it, it will sell well for Acura, much better looking than the current TL.

5-speeds. It's only in the past few years that Acura has finally begun offering 6-speed automatics. So yes, the Acuras were looking pretty dumb only having 5-speed autos in many cases when everybody else in the luxury field had 6/7/8-speeds, and even some Korean cars had more gears. 9-speed auto and 8-speed DCT. Problem solved.

agreed completely... tech seems great... but styling inside and out, is pedestrian. That real life interior pics looks like nicer Camry/Accord class vehicle - which starts at $20k.

I dont understand how can Honda be so behind current trend in the interior design. It is not about adding wood to old interior design anymore. You have to do something new, something that makes you different.

Exterior looks worse than before.

Makes little sense. Exterior looks like they designed something safe and then at last minute someone told them to spruce it up so they added crazy lights... they dont fit the design at all.

i really dont get it... Arent you looking at what your competition does?

p.s.2. those two screen housings on top of each others look like a work of madman.
