Default Auto loan

Can anyone point me in the direction to where I can get a loan for a 2005 7 yr old vehicle at a good rate prefer a 60 month term, I have just about a 800 credit score, I can get a credit union near me that will issue the loan at 5.55% 48 month term, Bank of America can only do 6yr old car or newer, Im not in the service so I can go that route, thanks for any help pointing me in the right direction.

^ that's high. I've seen as low as 2.49% for 36-60 months for new and used vehicles with tier 1 credit.

ironically, B of A quoted me 2.49% over 60 months just recently on a random inquiry. my alma mater's credit union and several other locations have also quoted the same.

I have seen lower rates, but to qualify the vehicle can only be no older than 5-6 years old. which the vehicle I have in mind is a 2005 7yrs....and only 60k miles.

I'd think twice about a 60 month car loan on a 7 year old car. You may want to try and find a dirt cheap beater to drive for 2 years while you build up some income to match your credit score.

US Bank offers auto loan for vehicles up to 9 years old, and I believe interest rate is around 2.5%

www.penfed.org

Pentagon Federal Credit Union or USAA if you're a member. They would have loaned up to $35K on my old Supra but I paid cash. Just food for thought.

Penfed is good, but check your smaller local credit unions also. One in my town is offering 1.29% on all new and used.
