Ford Mustang V6-powered Radical RXC track day racer gets a closer look

The good people at XCAR were the first to get a ride in the new Radical RXC on public streets, and they were kind enough to bring along a few cameras to film the experience. As you may already know, Radical has made a name for itself by building wicked track cars powered by lightweight and powerful motorcycle engines. Now the company is out to give the KTM X-Bow and Ariel Atom something to sweat over with a new line of street-legal track heathens. Powered by a range of engines that include the Ford EcoBoost 2.0-liter four-cylinder and a custom V8 made by smashing two Suzuki Hayabusa four-cylidner lumps together, the company's street-legal line is no less bonkers than its track-only hardware.

The RXC sits in the middle with its 3.7-liter V6 plucked from the Ford Mustang. Despite riding along as the middle child, XCAR seems rightly impressed by the RXC. Though the coupe doesn't exactly provide gobs of civility indoors, it does deliver excellent acceleration and handling. Isn't that what it's all about anyhow?

Looks suspiciously like a reworked Ultima GTR.
