Actually the North American RX F SPORT has more than just that, it has the 8 speed auto transmission. Everyone else gets the 6 speed auto in the petrol versions.

RX F-sport also gets its own interior, black with white stitching and a black headliner (along with other F-sport bits).

It is about time Lexus offers another model. The last time it added something, excluding the LFA, was in 2010 for the CT. We shall recapture the best selling luxury title soon enough.

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the NX concept going to be shown at the Tokyo Auto Salon this year?

Then production model shown at Geneva 2014?

There is also a new LS coming out next year too. So CY2014 would be the perfect time for Lexus to regain the sales crown... that would be a great way to celebrate Lexus' 25th anniversary.

I'd be VERY interested as long as its AWD. Hybrid that gets 35-40mpg and min of 180-200hp. That would pique my interest.
The RX is just out of reach for many folks.
Somewhere between 32-38k.....base to loaded.

I smh at how late Lexus is with this segment. GLK, X3, X1, Q5 (which imo is a small step below the RX in terms of class), RDX, Evoque all sell mega craptons from what I see on the roads. Q3 is coming soon which we all know will do very well for Audi. Lexus created the luxury unibody ute segment with the RX but has let everybody else crowd the compact luxury ute market years ahead of time while they ignored it.

I'm not saying the NX won't do well, I'm just pointing out how late in the game Lexus will be when they finally get this thing to showrooms.

You are never late to the game. Game is a constant variable that always changes and begs to be changed.

sure... but Lexus has Toyota to compete there... RX itself outsells most brand's SUV's combined.
