Haha, on warranties I sold for used Lexus, usually around 1200 for 3 yrs, and on BMWs, they are 3000 and up. I priced my old 7, it would cost 5700 for 3yr/100K miles. Yikes!

So that's a plus for having a Lexus too, cheaper warranty too!

So that's what you do.............I think the highest cost warranty policy is for the Range Rover, I heard $12k for 3yrs, am I right? Because they break down every other day

IMO, you don't need a warranty on a Lexus.

I am an insurance broker, just happen to have one company offer extended warranty to sell. I usually tell people not to buy warranty for Lexus since it's very unlikely for it to break down. But some clients still choose to pay 1200 for 3 years of peace of mind. Range Rover? Forget it, it's automatic declined!!

Warranty companies have to make money on the Toyota/Lexus policies to cover the losts on the Euro's policies.

On my friend's AMG S-Class's, one warranty claim in it's 1st year is already more then what he pay for the policy, much more claims to come in the next few years before he get rid of the car.

Problems were probably due to it being a 2009 and it being the first model year....I had a mineral white 2011 750li back in 2010-2011 (put 20k miles on in just over a year) and never had an issue.....same with 2008 M6 I had before the 750 (put 50k miles on in 2 years)....no problems at all.....I am heavily leaning towards getting another BMW just because I've had such great luck with them. I definitely miss the backseat room in the Li....but for some it's overkill size-wise.

Damn Andy, another 7! Congrats on a beautiful car bro.

I would love a 7 but I'm still loving my '03 540it touring wagon with tons of cargo space and not to mention the rarity of them.
I just love these BMW wagons, down the road I'm thinking of getting the E61 tourings.
But my dream BMW would be the E61 M5 touring, too bad you can't get them in the US.
I think they look better than the E60 M5.

If BMW would only bring the F11 touring I would be in heaven!
