LX's drivers....
Can you tell me if the seats in the LX 570 (models from 2009, 2010, 2011) recline like they do in the 1999 model LX 470? Ironically, in my search I have found that most of the newer or same year above highline SUV's (Mercedes GL models, Range Rover etc) the seats in the second row do not recline (tilt back). If you know of a luxury SUV that has reclining 2nd row seats, please share. On a new car search and this is of importance to my sons.
Any help is appreciated.
Thank you
Hyundai offers them on the new Santa Fe.....optional on the lower-trim versions, standard on the top-line model. I'm not sure you could consider it a "Luxury" SUV, but it's a pretty nice vehicle.
Thanks to everyone for your input. I've been searching for a CPO luxury suv and find it very odd that the second row seats only tilt back "a little." I've ruled out several models because of this alone and was shocked to find this feature missing in so many luxury suv's on the market. I have not been able to find a CPO LX570 within 100 miles of my area so that I could check for myself. Before I widened my search area I wanted to be sure of this option. I've been contemplating sticking with Lexus (LX 570) if I can find one within my budget and search criteria. Being that they are so rare in my area...and this purchase needs to happen ASAP, I've considered the 2009 - 2011 Mercedes GL450 or 550 and the Range Rover Land Cruise HSE, LUX or Sport. I have read the Range Rovers are not very reliable and my husband is not one to DIY..so this is of concern. Any one have first hand experience on either of these models and willing to share thoughts?? Again..much appreciated.
I would go with the LX/LC. They are very durable/reliable/capable/comfortable/safe vehicles. The other vehicles you have mentioned are impressive as well, how ever they are not as reliable as the LC/LX.
LC = TOYOTA LAND CRUISER
LX = LEXUS LX 570

My Range Rover rear seats do have power recline, it was an optional extra though. I have the full-size 2012 Range Rover, not the Sport. I see you are concerned about reliability. I was a little concerned too, mine has actually proven to be pretty flawless since I bought it.
