Default Fog lights....your opinion

seems like more and more sporty cars are going away from these....your thoughts?

(14 IS350 F Sport, 14 Corvette, 13 GS350 F Sport are just some examples)

Although they don't do much I like fogs.
They look good both with design off and on at night.
Those blacked out areas look cheap and like something is missing without fogs.

They do provide some limited usefulness in very low-visibility conditions, but, in most cases, they aren't really needed. I owned my Lexus IS300 almost five years, and only used them once or twice, and even then they didn't really add all that much. Worse, one of them failed (even with almost no use) and was replaced under warranty.

More lights = more visibility.

Not just you seeing the road, but also other cars seeing you.

Before owning a Lexus, I was always drawn to them because of the OEM yellow fog-lights on many models. I love fog lights, I think, when done right, they add to the aesthetics of a car, plus, they add more visibility at night. And we just think they look cool

I have mine on at night and went with a 5K 14 watt LEDs change for a very close match to the HIDs.
Love the look.

Actually,they're 13 watt 5K.
I've used these on a few Lexus vehicles I've had.

This is a newer version with CREE R5 chips and almost twice the lumens but I don't know how they look.

enough for you maybe but people still cut in front of me like they don't see me, so the more light the better....it's legal....its not like I'm running with the hi-beams on.

eventually will be putting 4500K HIDs in the fogs too

The low level position of fog lights never blind oncoming drivers, unless if HIDs are installed, which are very rare to the common driver.
