Hyundai/Kia copies. It's okay and great.

****ing hilarious
That's because no one really considers the Equus a real threat. I think they should, but they don't. Lexus was a threat right out the gates and has been even more so lately. That always gets all the German-ophiles' lederhosen in a bunch.

I actually love how they copied the best feature from everybody. Because I always find pros and cons in every cars, so if there is one car that have the best features from everyone, that would be the ultimate car

I always wish Lexus would copy from Bentley, because I want a reliable cheap to own Bentley

they didn't even bother to change any part of the gear shifter to look different from bmw's.

they just said "we're gonna copy it exactly. What joo gonna do about it?"

I don't mind the refresh and steeling "look" but without a side by side comparison how would I know what was refreshed from last year?

that shifter was jacked from BMW. It looks like it came right out of the BMW parts bin literally. I like the changes but its still not up to par for the arena that it competes in.

Comparably equipped, it is $30k less then a LS460L, $45k less then a S550, 750Li or A8.

Default Is it LCD instrument panel?

Let's talk about technology. Do you think the entire instrument panel on this car (Korean domestic model) is LCD? I can see that the fuel and temp gauges are LCD but can't quite make out the speedometer and tach. Noticed that temp and fuel gauges don't have traditional needles. I also saw a pic with full-color HUD. Quite nice.

if you look at the details, you will see why Maserati is different from hyundai and bmw... hyundai literally copied 99% of the BMW gearshift... including P button and side button. Maserati is only oval shape on one side... i guess main similarity is that letters are written into it, as the shape is not that different from previous Maserati shifters.

If you put Hyundai's gearshifter onto the BMW, nobody would know it isnt OEM, lol.

Get ready to have your minds blown:

Audi A8:

Chrysler 300:

Both vehicles use ZF's 8HP transmission. This transmission is electronically controlled, so what you're looking at is simply a remote electronic selector. ZF likely supplies both of these companies with similar components, thus, their resultant designs look fairly similar.

All latest Bentleys have the ZF 8HP also, different shifter though.

Chrysler 300's owners can brag that they got a Bentley's tranny

Ha. That ZF 8-spd is definitely making its rounds. Jaguar, Land Rover (just euro models for now), BMW, Audi, Bentley, Rolls Royce, Ram, VW, Chrysler, Dodge...luxury car and regular auto makers love it.

The Bentley Continental's gear selector sure seems to have a similar gate pattern to a Volkswagen Beetle and Passat.
