Heck, I am sure I won't be able to afford it, if it is the Price range of Corvette or Worse...the GT-R. By the pricing Trance of Toyota Premium Sport cars IS-F, LF-A...... I say, I would realistically expect the new Supra to be 80k+

i think people are expecting too much. for one i doubt it will be a "supra successor" and more like a "larger hybrid FRS"... i expect a turbo 4 with the Hybrid R system as seen on the Yaris Hybrid R concept
but doesnt toyota need a NSX rival? yes, it's called the Lexus LF-LC... aint no toyota gonna be sold for 80-100k...

Wait, sorry. I got distracted. There's a new Supra coming? That white concept was hot when it was still relevant.

I expect the same thing. That is why I said that I do not believe the successor Supra will be like what people say.
It will probably use the 86 chasis with new body styling, and I4 turbo from Lexus together with hybrid R.
Now, I believe they already agreed with this specs and sounds on paper. I think this will be the concept.
Even so, it will be Years before it is in production. If this concept is making 400HP or whatsoever at around 40k. I am in....but if it is C7+ price ? nah

Yeah, it is all a Concept. It took the 86 ....7 years or so until Production......the Supra ? Probably another 5 years until production.

The MK4 Supra with the rate of inflation would be like $80k today.

which is exactly why the supra was discontinued and exactly why i dont think they'll make the same mistake again. imo this new sports coupe will be in the 370Z/STI range. a turbo 4 with KERS style hybrid makes perfect sense. anything higher than this segment and we are talking lexus not toyota.

NSX VS FT-HS
Yeah I kinda see it.
Yes, I agreed a new Supra should be somewhat affordable. I would price it near the C7 ($50kish). But lets remember that in the 90s sports cars as a whole were going into on a decline. (300ZX, RX-7, 3000GT, Supra and ect). Buyers were moving towards trucks and SUVs.
I wouldn't say that the MK4 was a failure. From 93-98 Toyota sold 11,239 units in the US. While that isn't a huge number its still better than the R-35 at 5,336 units from 2008-2012.

the upper range of 370Z
imo 50k is still too high. that's lexus RC territory. im more comfortable with under 40k...
