Default Bike hitting a deer at 85mph

Ouch... what a lucky guy. Watch the whole thing, and look at 6:00 mark for slow motion

yikes!
looks like he "ran over" the deer vs. hitting it smack on? less catastrophic?

Friend and his wife were hit by a deer about that size while on his big cruiser. The little spike got his head over the tank while trying to jump the bike at about 40 mph on a country lane. Gerald instinctively clamped his arm around its neck and somehow maintained control. His most miraculous feat was getting the bike stopped with his wife screaming in his ear.

Now you've got a deer with two sharp spikes in a headlock struggling to get away . . . Sorta like having a tiger by the tail, how do you get rid of it without getting yourself slashed or gored? A quick release and a hard shove got the animal off of him, but it stood in the road, stunned for a moment before it departed uninjured. Kinda messed up Gerald's leathers, though - his wife claimed most of the damage was to the inside of his pants.

All the gear, all the time.

Insane!! He’s a very lucky man! That bike has fantastic straight line stability and I think going 85 mph actually saved him since it seems to have quickly stabilized the front wheel from a really bad front wheel wobble. I think that GXR has a steering damper right?
