Traction/stability and Launch-Control systems are put into high-performance cars for a reason.

I'll give these guys some credit, though. They are at least doing this kind of stuff on the track/strip where it belongs (although insurance often doesn't cover track-use). Too many morons try this nonsense on the public-streets.

I feel embarrassed for him . I cant believe the car sustained that kind of damage with such a low speed hit. That was not a bad crash. I am pretty confident that a Porsche or GTR would not have shattered like that

seems like it. I know there are CF fenders but that bumper and hood shattered like fiberglass. I always remember Jeremy Clarkson on TG talking about the Z06 and showing how easy it was to push the rear bumper in with his finger tips. With the kind of speed this thing can achieve they need to build them a bit more sturdy

when it comes to crashes i guess it also depends on the frames. the panels are just part of it. i mean, e9x m3 they have front fenders made of plastic too

Why didn't he hit the brakes? It spun out for like a second, then you can see the little whip of the tail as it grabbed the ground again and he just rolled into whatever it was he hit. I feel more embarrassed for him than I ever have for anyone haha

Yep, my State Farm policies expressly exclude any coverage on roads or tracks designed for racing. That would include a simple parade lap around a NASCAR track.

Track-day insurance is available from specialty companies for high performance driving events (not the same as racing.)
