interior is definitely a flaw to the 350z. everything is plastic!

however, for the function of the car and price I believe its somewhat okay. if you want the luxury of the 350, upgrade to the infiniti g35, same engine only bigger car and WAYY more luxurious inside!

i drove my buddies 350z and a daily slammed was definitely uncomfortable

You will never find driving dynamics of Z33/Z34 in G35/G37. G series is more refined, and less sport car than Z.

totally agreed! which is why I said the Z was more of a track racy car as opposed to the G series!

It makes more sense to resurrect the Silvia/200SX for that purpose.

Incorporate more of the Z32 styling cues, add a turbo (or twins), improve the interior, along with shedding weight and it'll be an interesting car.

Not true for the Z33 vs, G35 coupe, I've test driven both and owned a G35 coupe 6MT(more sport- tuned than the Auto version), they are very close to notice much difference at all.
Z34 is so ugly that I never test drove it, but I have test driven the G37 coupe and yes they make it more refined.

To me, the best of the Z cars was the Z32 TT and if they really want to keep the Z tradition they better not go with a 4 cylinder, that's what the 240sx was there for, bring the 240 back then. They gotta go with a v6 or inline 6 and definitely go with a Twin Turbo again. They need to compete with cars like the Mustang and Camaro and for that, a 3.5 Twin Turbo could do great... a 3.7 Twin Turbo could be a beast. And I agree that maybe they should go back to the lines of the Z32 and then I'd definitely look into getting one.

I personally think the 370 interior is fine. The Z now has more direct competition (which is good) so I think Nissan needs to reposition the car for the next generation. And let's not forget that Nissan now has the GTR in the US lineup, a situation that the older Z never had to deal with. True, there's a huge gulf between the Z and the GTR but I think the next Z has to make sense in relation to that.

Yes Z33 is close to G35, but not that close. You still notice you have back seats and more weight in G35. Z34 is a more refined, more sport of Z33... and it's a complete different beast from G37.

I think I may be in the minority on this one, but I like the interior on the 370z, it's a huge improvement over the rental-esque 350z.

Please share the impression of Z as a DD. I've always liked the Z, but am fearful of how uncomfortable it can be as a DD. I test drove the current BMW Z4 and found it intolerable even just a quick circle around the dealership.

370Z is a big step up from 350Z in the inside. It's not really harsh, it just feels right for a sport car. I personally think it's comfortable, the only problem I have with 370Z is the noise.

The 370Z is bouncy in mid-corners if it hits a rough patch of road. I know this because I own one. The interior is fine for its price point. In fact, I find the 370Z's interior better looking than a Porsche Cayman/Boxster and the Z is much cheaper than the Porsches. The Porsches' interior is a sea of plastic which is ridiculous considering their asking prices.

Problem is, Sylvia team is gone and they won't have 2 sports cars in the franchise near the same price point....240Z name is more nostalgic, especially in America, its main market.

always liked the newer Z's.. being 6' with a slight stocky build makes the car less comfortable for me.. the new one will definitely be interesting
