Maybe the LS will get 6hp more? lol, just a guess. The pictures look decent, but a lot like the current LS. I too think it's a photoshop. Typical 'wheels too small' look. That's about the only thing I have an issue with on previous Lexus vehicles.
lol 6hp sounds like a lot already. seriously, with today's engines, hp deviations from production can range 10hp easily. with those kind of changes, might as well say no change. even on the 4gs, lexus pretty much say it's the same drivetrain carryover (which i think is fine, btw)
we will see in 5 days if it really looks that much like the current ls (which means -- facelift? hahahaha... having fun here)
It's tough to say, if this is a photoshop, it is supremely well done. The front end shot is almost perfect, even the headlights aren't merely mirror images. The images use the correct side mirrors (Lexus is phasing out the ones on the current LS). The chrome on the grill is very well done too and that's somewhat difficult to do in PS.
I will however say that I have concerns with the rear 3/4 shot. The car looks too low, even for Lexus marketing, and the far right rear exhaust outlet looks off. The lower side skirt (below the chrome) and lower bumper (around the exhaust area) look fake.
Design wise the rear 3/4 shot looks like an aftermarket modified LS. I don't see Lexus using black plastic on the taillights to alter the look, and I think the side design will be changed much more. The door handles for example will probably end up similar to those on the GS, CT, RX and new ES than the ones in the image, which are of the current LS (and previous ES).
Also why would Lexus cover up the entire car in the spy shots we've seen if this is only to be a front and rear refresh? If the side profile is to be left largely unchanged then following industry tradition the spyshots would have only the front and rear ends covered.
Similarly why would Lexus release a teaser for the LS depicting the side profile if the side profile is to be left largely unchanged?
This is definitely not Photoshop, it's a raytraced 3D model. So either it's official model that somebody got a hold of or somebody took a lot of free time to model it and render it.
I'm going with Photoshop. Like Mr. Burns, I agree, it is well done. I did some serious pixel peeping on those headlights, but unlike Mr. Burns, I do believe them to be exact mirrors of each other. Aside from slight editing in the reflection in the beams, the left and right lamps are exactly alike, pixel for pixel. Also, in my own opinion, I believe this to be much, much, too aggresive for Lexus. I just don't see it, but you never know.
The door handles have black buttons for door locking. I don't think the new LS will have those. More than likely they will have a dimple on top of the door handle.
I too think photoshop.

Yes, I too believe it is PS, but a beautifully done PS. The door handles will be like the ones currently on the 3RX, 4GS, CT...since that button click is 2006 design (2IS, 3GS).
Is this the real thing? It certainly looks like the prototypes we caught undergoing validation testing earlier this year. Lexus officials all but confirmed the authenticity of the shots Thursday morning, asking us if we were inquiring about the “LS photos that leaked.” All signs suggest this is the 2013 LS F Sport, but even so, Lexus won’t release any more information or photos until the official debut.
somehow I kinda like the front aggressive look, maybe a bit too much but that style became lexus style now. RX, GS have 'em. I won't be surprised the new IS, CT, GX, LX will have similar front design
