2013 Lexus LS Unveiling
Do you want to know what my verdict is? Both the S-Class W222 and the Lexus LS are receiving the same level of changes. Therefore both are the next generation models. Even though that paper showed the code USF40, it still might become the USF50. Or a 2015 USF50 is sitting in a Lexus design facility, currently receiving its final touches and a sign-off for production. Anyway, compare both.

Not every Lexus design is mandatory to be leaked from China...

And this LS is going to be a facelift (major) brand new redesigns especially for the brand's Luxury flagship will come out with many world firsts or break through technology. Don't forget all of the amazing features the current LS originally came out with. You all REALLY think Lexus would only do aesthetic upgrades to a brand new LS re-design? You think a bunch of monkeys work at Lexus!? That those same monkeys created the amazingly successful 4GS?
I think the real monkeys are here on the internet.
LSs are quite a bit cheaper than the S class benz, which start at 90k+.
Had my first serious inquiry on a 13 LS today. Probably taking a deposit, right after the release.
Guy showed up in a two month old Turbo S.
Quite possibly the baddest car, on the market, under 200k... Maybe even over 200k...

Remember in Europe they sell very small displacement S class cars.

Due to interior changes, i think LS will be a lot bigger update than S-class, because the difference in current LS interior and technology is very big compared to GS. Car is going to feel completely different once you are in it... from 12.3" screen, remote touch, to 18-way seats... it will be very different experience.
Yeah, but the S-Class will have an all-LCD instrument panel. There has been spy shots of it on the mule cars. Even the refreshed 7 series will have an LCD instrument panel ala LFA.
But I don't doubt the LS will have amazing technology inside.

I think it's just the different angles that the pics are taken from and some of the effect of all black that takes away the ability to see some of the sculpting/shape.
The 2010-present 600HL has an LCD instrument panel along with the Jag XJ as well. I hope this feature will make on the 460 too.
While LS has old school Lexus interior... I just spent time in top end GS450h, and feel is very, very different from LS... and LS version should be a lot nicer too.
The two photo's that I posted are Identical, from the silhouette, the lines, the shades, it's the same car as the current model, just in a dark setting, with blue smoke on top of it.
All I'm saying, is that the "teaser" photo, isn't a teaser at all of the new model, it's the current model.
What are you talking about?

Obviously, so is the second photo. The teaser of the LS on Lexus' web site cannot be enhanced to bring out the shadows, revealing
the shape of the car. I don't know where you got that photo from but it is definitely not off the Lexus web site.
This is the original "official" teaser image on Lexus' web site.

And here is the same "official" image enhanced. It is clear that Lexus did this intentionally so that the "teaser" would not
reveal the car.

Again, I don't know where you got your photos from, perhaps floating around on the internet, but they are not Lexus's
published teaser of the new LS.
In my opinion, this is an excellent teaser image and in no way reflects, not even a little, the image of the current LS.

The side body lines are going to be changing that much... As stated the 2 photos were overlayed..
