European UK reviews are in, I dont remember any Toyota other than Celica and MR2 getting 4 stars all around, this has to be a first. I think a lot of these places rated Rav4 as 2.5-3 star vehicle for instance. So basically, when it comes to pedestrian Toyota's, Prius G4 is probably the highest rated vehicle by UK mags in past 15+ years.
We may not have been big fans of the Prius before, but we are now. There’s lots to admire in the engineering and technology, if not the look of the car. And it’s hard not to be swayed by the numbers – it’s not cheap to buy, but it will be cheap to run. It’s comfortable, refined and easy to live with – and more than just a cabbies’ favorite now.
Started to see a few of these on the road lately... Although it looks a bit better on the road over photos, i am not feeling the styling. Just not my cup of tea.
Japanese tuning company Wald International has dropped a couple of revealing renderings of its bold 2016 Prius bodykit.
Wald's upgrades include a custom front splitter and faux lower air intakes with silver outer accents. Additionally, there's a redesigned bumper as well as dual canards on either side and a strip of plastic that now separates the headlights in two parts.
Looking at the profile, we can see a set of bespoke black and silver wheels with low-profile tires and extended side skirts, while the rear sports quad exhaust pipes and a black diffuser with a Formula 1-inspired fog light.
Yeah? Just wait until you end up behind a hypermiling ES300h driver
Why all the Prius hate around here? They're great cars that sip fuel, a finite resource we should be using less of. Not everyone wants or needs a V12 with 999 hp to get around.

I don't think its as much the car, as it is the driver and how they act while driving, which gives the car a bad rap

It's no different from the "hate" on Civic drivers, Audi drivers, BMW drivers, Lexus drivers etc.
The Prius hate I think comes from the fact that the Prius is the "anti-car". Its the antithesis of everything that an enthusiast wants from a car.
I haven't driven the new one, but the one we had and the generation afterwards IMHO was a pretty terrible car. Good driving appliance, perhaps, but to anybody who enjoys a car or driving...I don't see that it has ever had anything to offer. Ours was the only car I've had that I truly hated.
The basic concept that’s propelled the Prius to hybrid leadership for two decades worldwide is unchanged: an internal-combustion engine augmented on demand by an electric motor. But the vehicle built around this pioneering hybrid system has changed considerably, as KBB’s Micah Muzio explains in this video.
