Default beige interior resale

I recently sold my vehicle with beige it was incredibly clean with no signs of stains. I loved the Luxary look of it.

Anyway I found the market for it was difficult because I think alot of buyers (maybe the younger ones?) immediately will turn away from this color, and the older ones with kids think it is a nightmare to keep clean.

To tell you the truth it is a bit more work and worry about mechanics staining it as well. but when kept nice it seems brighter, spacious, and not hot at all to sit down on a sunny day.

However my next vehicle I am considering black leather again because of the resale problem I faced..

What is your thoughts on this?

I think it's because beige interiors have an old-man car kind of perception to it. Where as black interiors have a sportier look even in the same design.

A friend is casually looking at used SC300/400's and totally rules out any with a beige interior for that reason. And this is a guy who spent $3K on a custom made 2-tone black and pure white leather on his previous car.

I had light grey on my GS and loved it. I have tan in my LS and had it in my G35. Light interior allow you to see the detail in the interior more. Black makes you lose the details and its HOT as hell in AZ. I will never do black

Tan/Beige is a neutral color, it looks warm, and most people don't have problem with it. But I agree, to some people, mostly car guys, don't like tan color.

I don't immediately rule out interior colors, but I do immediately rule out exterior colors. For some models, there can even be a significant price difference between colors in the used car market, such as the general aversion to gold cars.

I wouldn't buy a vehicle with a light color leather unless I really love the vehicle and don't have a choice.I love the look of black leather and the ease of keeping it clean.
I had a couple of light leather interior vehicles and sat on a towel 95% of the time.Yes,I'm OCD.

Light interior for luxury car

Black or Red for sports car

Black interior for luxury cars takes away a lot of the luxurious ambience to me ... I would rather take brown/saddle if I don't want white/beige ...

I've owned one beige interior colored vehicle and never again...i ended up swapping out the interior with someone who had at least a two-toned black/beige interior because i despised it that much.

the sportier black interior is more popular i know that, plus you cant beat the maintenance of a black interior. easier to keep clean, just condition it thoroughly to keep its longevity

You can keep a beige interior clean, without a lot of maintenance (as I have done with my Outback), if you don't have kids or careless adults, use some common sense, and don't eat/drink/smoke inside the car. Get careless or sloppy, though, and, yes, it will show dirt much worse than black or dark-graay.

I like light interiors on sports cars, if it's the right color combo.
