Lexus LFA almost sold out - report

In a recent interview, Lexus' US vice president of sales said the LFA has almost been sold out.

Speaking with The Detroit Bureau, Tim Morrison revealed the "supply is down to single digits." While it took nearly two years to sell all 500 models, Morrison believes the LFA was successful because it was an important halo vehicle for the brand.

A Lexus spokesperson said there were "no plans for a replacement," but previous reports have indicated an LFA Roadster could debut in mid-2014.

I would love too know if all the LFA's in Canada have been placed and where. I would love too see one here in Montreal.

Congrats to Lexus...this is an accomplishment that no other Asian brand has come close to achieving. Quite amazing when you think about it. Kudos to all the buyers looking past the badge and buying based on its merits!

Even if it took 2 years to sell every vechicle made for full price, if not more. That is a success!

This is great to hear. Although there was some confusion on how LFA was going to be sold initially but its good to know they are almost gone.

Now if I can only win the lotto to buy #500.

Seems like Lexus is ahead of schedule. Remember, Lexus only produces 500 units of these.......and they only need to sell within the 5-year time limit. Looks like with single-digit supplies left (meaning 9 units or less to go), they're definitely ahead of schedule.

I would think not considering it's taking two years to sell out.
A Enzo Ferrari was sold out before it's production.That's an investment vehicle..

Sounds about right to me. I still think the LFA will increase in value but maybe over a greater period and just not as much.

Does anyone know if the total of 500 includes the nurburgring editions or is that an additional number to the base 500 units
