it doesn't need a 3rd row, either. just bunches everything up inside, and tries to make it a jack of all trades, but ends up being a master of none. the cr-v is successful (like lexus rx) because they're 5 seaters.

i would not be surprised to see the V6 gone, simply to get their CAFE higher.

Yup, people will be in for a pleasant surprise with the new Rav4. I still can't believe how sporty it will look.

The Rav-4 is VERY successful. It was the first car based SUV which the CR-V followed. Both sell well, the CR-V selling like crazy recently.

The Rav-4 has won multiple comparos as well. The V-6 is fastest in class and adds fun to the segment.

Does the wording "All New" really mean the next gen, or simply the current gen with an "all new" EV powertrain that we have all already seen? We shall see. I'm hoping it's actually the next gen, of course.

i dont think "all new" Rav4, car that is immensely important to Toyota worldwide, will be presented at some EV symposium :-). I expect it to be presented closer to the end of the year when there are major shows.

Yes we've all seen that car before. Many journalists have even test driven it. That's why I'm confused when Toyota states in this PR that an all new RAV4 EV will make its "debut", as if it is something to be shown to the world for the first time.

Ohh no, the orange peels again! I was shocked to find out how much orange peels on the lower part of my 11 Sienna, also on my friend's 09 Tundra limited. They really need to improve the paint quality.

i dont remember any toyota not like that... i always thought it was completely different painting process for the frame as thats what that is, due to anti-rust, anti-debris, etc...

Yeah, almost every recent toyota models, but trust me, when I saw that on my van, I was really really upset because I never see that on any of my Lexus before, and I even thought about the dealer sold me a brand new van with paint repair done to it. I know Lexus use different paint process, but Toyota should at least make it look better than a spray paint job.

I agree with you about orange peel, however, in the pic. above, it appears to be really bad orange peel but it's supposed to be like that. The rocker panels are painted with a paint process that is chip resistant. You can see it on many cars these days on the lower most rocker panel.
