Default Only in Miami, Cartoon-Like Camaro

I was in Miami a couple of week ends ago and yes there are plenty of bling rides.

The one that turned my head the most was this strange Camaro. It had super large diameter chrome spinners and a Miami two tone paint job.

I only got a quick shot of it but you will get a sense of this ride from the back half.

If I am not mistaken, the wheels even had some coloring to link to the body paint.

So is this big wheel (without being jacked up) a trend at all or is this a individual look?

It is a trend, especially down south. Called Donk. or donking?

Thanks rkyat,

My vocabulary has been increased with the term "Donk" today.

Seeing that trend around this part of PA as well. Usually older Lexus ES/LS's but have seen quite a few Chrysler 300's with this effect. 30+ inch wheels with rubber band tires providing more ground clearance than a Tacoma

Take a gorgeous car, spend all that money, just to make it look horrible.

You are not lying! I was in the Bay area for my wedding a few years back and was amazed by the amount of 1st gen SCs rolling around with Donk treatment. It's "understandable" on Buicks and Fords but absolutely foolish on an old Japanese luxury coupe. The paint jobs were interesting to say the least. I may have seen 4 different ones over the course of one day. My wife asked me if there was a meet in the area.

Not gonna hate on the style, it's just not my thing. But this is an example of how crazy it can get.
Just starting to hit Jersey now.

^ So basically it's only good in a straight line.

Imagine having to make a U-Turn in that thing
