Default Kia Optima Question

So i went to my local Autozone today to buy a few things and when i came out there was a black cherry 2012 kia Optima.. The rear was badge less and had a weird symbol on the hood and trunk in place of the "kia" symbol...

This was it...

So i looked it up... and it mean K5.. What does K5 mean... The car looked amazing to say the least.. I nearly broke my neck leaving the parking lot...

They also have the K9 over there in Korea (a large RWD sedan iirc)

That is the name of the Optima in other markets. It goes K2/Rio, K3/Forte, K5/Optima, K7/Cadenza and K9/future RWD fullsize luxury/sport sedan.

For an entirely different reason and has nothing at all to do with this thread. Should we say why do S350 guys badge their cars S600 too as that would be far more relative to the thread Tony started. SMH
