Thanks again everyone ... right now I'm close to a deal on a s60 T5 for about 800-1000 under invoice. I liked the ride and the look of the car. Have to haggle a little bit more to get it done but I think I will. If anyone has any "stay away" thoughts on this car, let me know.

insideline (edmunds) has this vehicle in their long term fleet and it has been getting good reviews from the writers so far.

GL! All I have is my friend's issue with his '08 S50, but different car, different engine. He bought and also lives in NJ.

Like i mentioned before...my aunt had a S60. It was the S60 T5 actually. Till 60k it was fine, after that it required 2 transmission replacements at the Volvo dealership (Very $$$). And mechanics don't seem to want to touch them, so general repairs are expensive too.

A nice car, and, of course, full of Volvo safety features....that night help a little with the insurance premiums. But it's not the best prospect for long-term reliability, and, as others have noted, non-warranty repairs can cost some $$$$$$$.
