So I bought another car after long thinking.
So, after long time of self debating on which car to purchase I made a decision. Cars I was looking for were, ISF, CTS-V, or ARISTO swap on my GS. I also had a momentary weakness for the GS460. ISF was too small for me, CTS-V felt too cheap, and GS460 had no *****. What I decided to buy was a clean, low mileage BMW M5, but not just any M5. I decided to finally pull the trigger on E39 M5. I have always loved these cars and I always wanted one. I found SUPER clean, 57K miles fully loaded M5 about 30 miles away from my home. I just got back with it and I am in love with the M line. Car feel super solid for it's age, and it's a pleasure to drive. What can I say? The handling, breaking, acceleration is all there. Voice activate navi, Bluetooth also installed from BMW. The car has new kevlar clutch, and full exh, I will take some pictures of the car when it's nice out, but in the meantime I'll show you what I have. The GS will be my daily, and I plan to keep the M5 for a long time. I really love the car. I need to do basic maintenance on it and that's it. Only thing I need to add is the OEM spoiler, and maybe light tint. That's till one shop I know is finished with a TT kit for the e39 M5. But more on that later. I also wanted to give thanks to George KG speed factory for coming with to inspect the car. He spent 6 hours with me including driving the car back to his shop. They do amazing work and everything is done by the book, even TQ the nuts and bolts with a TQ wrench, unlike some shops out there, but that's another story. Here's their site.

AND MY GS

Wow!! Congrats on the bad *** ride man!!! When I was in high school I had a buddy who had the same exact color combo car as you do and that was instantly one of my favorite cars
such an underrated car even until this day. So what's the inside scoop on the TT ideas??

WOW.. That's one clean e39 M5. I see some roll around every now and then, but they're usually not in good condition. The e60 M5 is my favorite, but your car sure is a beauty. Love the color.
The interior looks amazing, and I've always wanted a blue car.
I had an '02 530i, and it went to crap once it reached about 130k miles. But then again, when I got it, it wasn't in the best condition.
Your car looks clean, and with proper maintenance, it will last a while. 57k miles? Is it all original?
How was the service history on the car?

My experience in the car repair business is that BMW's are generally reliable, but when they break, its expensive... best of luck to you! they are nice, pretty cars though, always liked the style...

Congratulations.
Quite a car. Did you check out a used 540i or 550i before you went with the M5, though? They don't quite have the M's torque or track-ready suspension, but, on the street, generally ride smoother and more civilized.
I see you also got one of the pre-Chris-Bangle BMWs. They were much-better-looking, IMO, than later versions, and also had more solid sheet metal and interior-materials.

I always wanted an E39 M5 but never pull the trigger. I think E39 M5 is pretty reliable except it seems like they all burn oil, just be sure to check oil level every month to be on the same side.
BTW, the color combo you got is very nice!

all m cars burn a lot of oil from the higher rev, but i think that's pretty normal. and yea, overall i think the e39 m5 is pretty reliable
