Definitely doesn't sound like it'll be keeping the V8 engine. My guess is that tri-turbo V6 that keeps getting rumored.

It'll be a turbo 6 almost certainly. What saddens me is the E46 90 etc.. Model designations are now F. F80 M3 just sounds odd to me

I think it's because they're trying to differentiate the M models from the regular models even more going forward. So they each get their own chassis code designation now.

Have they unveiled the next 3 series yet, without camo?

Definitely a 6 in there but I cant tell if its a I6 or V6. I doubt its a tri turbo. You can definitely tell it has the lightning fast DCT. It kinda sounds like a 335is with a less restrictive muffler.

The new F codes are not to designate the M cars..this is BMWs new chassis code.

Not yet. I still see it at work with camo.....
Has anyone seen it without camo other than the early pic released? The one we have at work is still underwraps!

This is what I dont get, the new M3 will have flared fenders like the previous models, while the recently released M5 does not.

sounds pretty sweet. I think the M3 will be great no matter what they decide to go with. The M3 is the benchmark and they will not take a chance screwing it up
