Lately, I've been looking for a toy/beater car to have a lil fun in and to tinker with and what not.. Too many rice out hondas and other dogged out tuner cars out there.. Anyways i came across a Nissan NX2000 which houses the SR20 motor which i've read some really good reviews from alot of current owners. I just wondering if any of you guys have any experience with this type of car..
Comments appreciated if you have 1st hand experience with this car, no bashing.. LOL
They are neat, cant run a ton of boost through them though since they are high compression, about 8psi max on a t25. Quick little cars though and handle pretty well. A friend had one.
I found a '92 NX2000 with 75K miles but the owner want like $2600, kinda laughable for old car but the rarity is not a good thing since parts are impossible to find since they only made them for 3 years and they weren't popular cars. So, I'm looking into getting a '91-'92 Supra for the same price..
the NX is a pretty descent car...and very fun to drive.
I've owned many FWD SR20 vehicles, specifically B13/B14 SE-R's and P10/P11 G20t's. Minimal mods and the motor wakes up pretty good. My last SR20, 99 G20t, had about 315k miles before I sold it. very nice, reliable and pretty quick cars.
check out sr20-forum.com...they'll have every/anything you need for the car or insight on mods/repairs
