Had a chance to check out the new A6 at my local dealer today. It was not available for driving, so I gave it an upclose inspection.
First off, I have to say it's a beautiful design all around. The headlights are more aggressive than any recent Audi, which is something they needed to work on. The rest of the body is sleek, modern, and clean. There's little "fuss" with anything. Inside, the dash I found to be more of a work of art than anything else. The angular lines, modern cuts of wood, and color choices and materials lent a very classy look.
Overall, I felt this is was nice upgrade to the current A6.
My uncle has an a6 "s-line" (F-Sport of audi?) ... that this is the biggest POS in the world... its been in the shop more than his garage
Of course 1st comment will be how much of a POS German cars are :/
4 years with my Q7 and I had no issues. Only back to the dealer for services.
Yes, S-Line is like F-Sport. Audi did it almost 10 years ago. Sporty body kit of sorts, sports suspension, diff't color interior, better seats, better wheels, etc.
Thanks for the static-input. If you want to test-drive an A6, there should be some available there at the Audi shop. If not, there will probably be some coming in soon.....most Audi shops keep at least a few of them around.

Thank you! I officially request a thorough MMARSHALL test soon. =)

I was expecting the German comments too. Some Audi models are still troublesome, but a few rate as average according to CR. My 2003 A4 was average to above average, with little attention needed.

To be fair, his new TT has been great.... It was only the A6 that was super unreliable..

OK, Guys. I'll put it on the list.

And, sorry, guys......I mis-stated that. I didn't look at the OP close enough (that sometimes happens). I thought you were talking about the 2011s, not the 2012s. I agree......right now, there few 2012 A6 sedans in stock....but I'll see what I can do for you guys.
BTW, we're not going to get the useful, versatile (but pricey) Avant A6 Wagon for 2012....the bonehead Audi marketers are pulling it from the American market.
