Default First Car

My first car going back to high school year in late 90s was fully-loaded, white leather, white 1991 honda accord sedan, with the good old clear corners/bumper lens, and painted white grille. I still miss it.

86 Honda Civic base. 4 speed, 55-60 hp, and it burned more oil than gas. My first car cost $1200. I have come a long long way.

1989 Ford Escort my wife had when I married her. Lasted a year before the transmission blew, so we bought a Corolla.

Some of you guys were lucky! I got a hand me down 1990 Hyundai Excel. No Stereo, no power steering, no power window/doorlock, and NO AC!! And it would take 2 blocks to get to 45mph, even got my first ticket for running a redlight in it because the car just couldn't accelerate fast enough to past the green light.
I saved up so hard for 6 month and bought a Corolla instead, I still remember the day when I got in the corolla, I had tears in my eyes since the car drove soo "NICE" compare to the hyundai.

Looks like my brothers first car will be my 01 es300, giving it to him with about 190k then. I might pick up a 2nd or 3rd generation gs or 05-06 es330.

One of these came into the shop I work at and I had to drive it around after a trans fluid flush and I was very surprised at how slow it was. I'd rather watch paint dry than drive one of those again.

It all depends on how bad the struts are. Is your car like a trampoline when you go over bumps?

My first car as a mom's favorite. It was brown - more poop colored than cool brown. It was a Gran Torino Brougham. This meant it had no cool features like starsky and Hutch had in their Torino. Instead mine as a faux-vinyal half roof, a 289 under the hood and an AC system that quit the day I bought it. I drove the crap out of that car. When it hit 100,000 miles the tranny fell out and the vinal leaked enough to open up a rust hole over the rear speakers causing rain delayes when the speakers in the back deck got too much rust water dumped in them.
