Need some assistance with Diminished Value for '11 is350

My insurance company is handling the diminished value claim for my car and billing progressive. They finally cut the check.
Problem is that they are making it out to me and Lexus Financial.
Can the finance person a my lexus dealership endorse it over to me, or do I have to mail it to them as well as endorse it over to them and they send me a check?
