How about 2008, 12/25/08 to be exact. This was in NJ near Atlantic City. I paid $1.42 per gallon for premium fuel. This also was the advertised price and it wasn't a gimmick. I filled my RX330 with 11.098 gallons for $15.75. This was just after the speculators got out of the crude market during the credit crisis.

Margins are slim on the gas they sell. They make their money on what they sell inside the store.

The last time I remember gas that cheap was maybe around 1999 or so.....

I dont think losing $21k should be that big of an story... it sucks, but lets face it, many stores have a lot bigger inventory loses than that :-)

Damn!!! I never play attention to the gas price until it hit $3/gal. How the heck we get a $3/gal increase in just 3 year......damn government!!!

Should have bought the 2000 gallon tank tunk from the junkyard and let it sit in my yard. I use average 5 gallon per week, that should last me a good 7 years......

I remember either in 99 or 00 when gas was $0.99 a gallon here in LA, well at least the station by my parents house.

Oil companies are always posting record profits every quarter. While I do feel bad for the owner of the station, I do not feel bad for the big oil companies. Gas should be nowhere close to where it is today
