Exclamation Lexus LF-Gh Concept (updated, pics posted)

Just a few moments ago, Lexus Europe has given us a glimpse of the long awaited Lexus LF-Gh concept which will debut at the NY Auto Show in just a few weeks. As you can see in the concept photos, there are a lot of new and very sharp styling cues that take the "L-Finesse" design philosophy to a new level. We're hoping to see more photos of this car in the immediate future. Note the new hourglass shape of the front grille! Could this car be an interpretation of the next generation Gran Sedan? We'll have to wait and see.

Stylish and assertive concept advances notions of premium luxury
Concept explores Lexus’ future direction; global design identity evolves
Aggressive and bold “spindle” front grille hints at new face of Lexus vehicles

Through this exercise, the definition of L-Finesse, the marque’s design philosophy since 2001, has been refined and evolved to include a bolder, more distinct projection of what a luxury car could become in a modern world. The result is the LF-Gh concept, which conveys original thoughts and ideas that may migrate to future Lexus vehicles on a global scale.

The new concept will be on display in the Lexus exhibit at the New York International Auto Show from April 20 – May 1, 2011.

Front fascia is like an angry transformer.

Digging the headlights though

Too overdone.

Already too stylized.

I'll be happy when they tone it down for production.

As was rumored before, you can see the CT-esque cues in the front end and I think you can get an idea for what it might look like when toned down for production.

This is so aggressive...I'm impressed

I agree! This is looking good although the front grille going down to the bottom of the bumper and the way the taillights look almost remind me of Audi.

I do not think they can be too aggressive on this, swing for the fences and over do it, rather see that then some bland design

Indeed. Now that we can clearly see this is going to be one of Lexus' krazy koncepts, how this concept looks is irrelevant, since the production vehicle will inevitably look completely different. yawn

And that, precisely, is what I'm afraid of. I hate the Audi monster grilles with a passion, and the last thing I'd want to see is Lexus copy that...

Yeah, that, I like. Reminds me of the Alfa Romeo Brera.
