Smile Any long term Audi Q7 owners??

Looking for any feedback from members. We are expecting twins and need something with some extra room. Wife says no to the mini-van thing So Im considering a used Q7 all loaded up since she will hardly drive it and it will be something that I would be okay driving. Need space for 3 car seats and all the other stuff. Looking for unbiased replies so figure its best to ask here then on the Audi forms.

As much as I hate to own one I suggest the Honda Mini-Van and think it would be easier and better but she is fighting me on it.

3 car seats? do yourself the favor and get the Sienna. you'll appreciate yourself much more (and the family will as well) for purchasing the minivan.

Go for the Honda Odyssey. For a lot less than the cost of a decently equipped Q7 you can get a FULLY loaded Odyssey with the DVD player, back up camera, etc. It will be way easier and cheaper to maintain as well. We have an 07 Ody in our family and love it. So comfortable for long drives and 7 people sit perfectly fine, so you shouldn't have any issue with 3 kids. If you got 3 kids, you need a minivan lol.

I do know someone that has a Q7, he loves his Q7. His only complaint is little things go wrong sometimes (but the dealer has covered them all) and of course, servicing is not cheap at the Audi dealers.

Seems like your decision is at the mercy of your wife tho

shes driving it not me I was going to bring a Q7 home and let her drive it and then bring home another Honda and then see what she says. I agree with the SUV and I do like the Q7 just not sold that is the best for what we need. The whole mini-van thing is tough to swallow

The way I look at it I can get the rear windows tinted again so no one can see in and I will sit in the 3rd row and let her drive!! This way I wont be seen and I can enjoy some movies myself

thats weird, twins usually runs in the family. Congrats to you guys.

I for one find twins fascinating. I hope you get to experience identical ones, cause then you can monitor how similar or how different they are and finally answer the age old question of nature versus nurture. ...no Im not suggesting a scientific experiment, but its fun nonetheless. hope that wasnt too creepy of a comment

and no comments on the car

i don't think fitting 3 car seats in a row is a good option man i have asked a few person about this.

the q7.... looks and drives cool. but to own, i personally would just stay away. too many people i say say if you lease one, maybe. but they are so cheap used for a good reason

I've had a Q7 since October of 2009 and a Q5 since June of 2010. And I absolutely love both of them. They're reliable and the features are great. You'll have more than enough room in the Q7! I've never owned a minivan so I can't comment on that (no kids)

another option that you might want to consider is the upcoming Nissan Quest which looks like a quantum leap better over the old model.

For the most part they lack style, their unoriginal and rather uninspiring to drive and for many it’s a free entry to suburbia lifestyle where everyone is exactly the same.

For my wife anyway, she doesn’t want the children’s life consuming her. She wants fun, stylish cars to drive. The mini-van driving soccer mom lifestyle is not for her.

So the Q7 sounds like an awesome choice!
