They don't seem to be selling too well though. The dealer here has quite a few. Maybe priced too high?
That's often been a problem for Aston. Some potential buyers feel that the Jag XKR not only has much of the same styling, but is a better dollar-value as well. There are similarities in the general styling, though the Aston has a different grille and interior trim. Not having test-driven an Aston myself (though there's a dealer close-by), I can't comment directly on anything else between the two.
Yes, on my list is Vantage V8 and C4S in coupe form.
A Wish-List, or an actual shopping/new-car consideration-list? I haven't driven one, but I'll admit that an Aston, like the Jag XKR convertible, can seduce.

For me, it's simply the same list.
My friend has the XKR 'vert, it's very nice but I don't want it.
I won't get into discussion of seduction, that would be NWS.
It's more a matter of the Silicon Valley work ethic (admittedly combined with incentive stock options that have been very rewarding at times, thank you NASDAQ) that motivates/drives/rewards people around here.
More on topic regarding this kind of stylish premium sedan (Rapide), I like the new CLS which is a different price range of course.

I also think its lovely and they can same size this shape all they want. Just a great design.
My local Aston dealer seems to have problems moving not only the Rapide, but all of their cars. I think it's a combination between high price and less car-inclined people taking their hard earned splurge money to something flashier and recognizable, like a Ferrari or Lambo.
I feel like Aston buyers are a very specific crowd and that causes their sales to be very low, unfortunately. And then there's the problem of the depreciation that comes with Astons as well. Another blow to the "buyability" of an Aston.
Plus, despite my love for Astons, if I had 250k to spend on a car, I'd probably take it to a Lambo dealer before an Aston dealer too
